Anand Kumar is the name of the individual.
He was born in India’s Patna, Bihar. His father, a clerk in the postal service, lacked the money to send his kids to a private school.

Anand attended a public school with a Hindi curriculum. He became passionate about math and produced papers on number theory during his graduate studies.

Even though he was admitted to Cambridge University, he was unable to enrol due to a lack of funding and the passing of his father.

He once sold papads and received tuition to help support his family.

He would drive six hours from Patna to Varanasi every weekend, stay with his brother (who studied music there, and study foreign publications on mathematics there).

He opened his math school for underprivileged pupils in 1992. He began a coaching curriculum for the IIT-JEE called Super-30 in 2002. Since then, he has chosen 30 economically disadvantaged youngsters each year to coach. His mother prepares meals for these pupils.

Out of 360 applicants, 308 were accepted to IIT between 2003 and 2014. The outcome from 2008 to 2010 was 90/90.
